What are the two main types of electrode materials that make up RRAM devices?

    *
    Answer

One is to use an active (diffusible) metal such as Cu, Ag, or Ni as the upper electrode (anode) material, and the other is to use an inactive (non-diffusible) metal or an inert metal such as Al, Cr, Ti, W., Au, Pt and other upper electrode materials; the lower electrode (cathode) generally uses an inactive metal or an inert metal. Also known as solid electrolyte devices.
When an inactive metal or an inert metal is used as the upper electrode material, a conductive path composed of oxygen vacancies is usually formed in the body.
When different metals are used as the upper electrode material, the properties of the RRAM devices thus prepared are also greatly different due to the different properties of the metals.
