What is the difference in the performance of the filter components?

    Answer

    1) Capacitor. It is used to bypass RF energy and direct it from the cable shield to the rack ground; it can also be used as part of an LC filter that operates at a specific frequency. The disadvantage of capacitors is their sensitivity to high voltages.

    2) Inductor.Cannot be used for filtering. If there is a potential difference between the two sources, not at the same potential level, a common mode current can be generated, which is what we must first prevent.

    3) Ferrite materials (including magnetic beads, common mode chokes, data line filters or other equivalent devices).Ferrite is the best device for filtering. This element is therefore equally effective for electromagnetic emissions and immunity.Note that the magnetic beads are only effective for high frequencies and are generally required to be higher than 10 MHz.
