Q1: Does RTD2120L-LF support HDMI input?
No. RTD2120L -LF is a low-cost analog video decoding chip launched by Realtek. It is dedicated to processing analog video signal inputs such as VGA (RGB) and YPbPr. It does not have the ability to receive HDMI or DVI digital interfaces. This chip integrates high-performance ADC and video processing engine, and is suitable for solutions for converting traditional analog video to digital panels. If the system design needs to support HDMI input, it is recommended to use Realtek’s RTD2486, RTD2660 or other series chips with HDMI receiving function to meet the digital interface requirements.

Q2: Can I drive an LVDS interface LCD screen?
Not directly supported . The output of RTD2120L-LF is a 24-bit TTL digital signal, which is often used to drive parallel port (RGB interface) LCD modules. If the target display is an LVDS interface (such as the common interface type of notebooks or industrial LCD screens), a TTL-LVDS converter, such as TI’s SN75LVDS83B or similar devices, needs to be added to the chip output to convert the TTL signal into a differential LVDS signal to be compatible with the target screen. This combination is more common in actual applications, and adaptation design needs to be done according to the screen resolution and timing matching.
